The City of Odebolt and the Odebolt Betterment Committee received a $4,559.00 Sac Co. Endowment Foundation grant to move the Peterson Pioneer home. Ron Rex, member of the Sac Co. Endowment Foundation, is presenting the check to Christy Hoefling, Deputy City Clerk, Kris Ziegmann and Deb Reinhart, members of the Odebolt Betterment Committee.
The Peterson Pioneer Home is the oldest home in Odebolt that it was orginally built. The house was built in 1886. Plans are to move the Peterson Pioneer Home to the historical center on 2nd Street. If you are interested in donating to this project you can send your donation to Deb Reinhart, Box 34, Odebolt, Iowa 51458 or drop your donation at Iowa State Bank and designate the Peterson Pioneer Home Relocation Project. If you would like to learn more about the Odebolt Betterment Committee, we meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 at the Downtown Cafe.
